Position: CNA - Hospice
Pay Rate: Starting at $20hr
Job Summary:
The CNA provides compassionate care and support to hospice patients, assisting them with activities of daily living (ADLs) and ensuring their comfort and dignity in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team. This role involves traveling to patient homes, healthcare facilities, and other care settings to deliver high-quality hospice services.

Job Summary:
The CNA provides compassionate care and support to hospice patients, assisting them with activities of daily living (ADLs) and ensuring their comfort and dignity in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team. This role involves traveling to patient homes, healthcare facilities, and other care settings to deliver high-quality hospice services.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with personal hygiene, including bathing, mouth care, skin care, hair care, and shaving.
- Support ADLs such as toileting, dressing, feeding, and ambulation.
- Help with range of motion exercises, patient positioning, and use of assistive devices.
- Address nutritional and dietary needs under the direction of the Nurse Case Manager.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, including changing bed linens, tidying rooms, and adjusting for safety and comfort.
- Monitor and report significant changes in patient conditions or caregiver coping to the Nurse Case Manager.
- Document all care in accordance with agency protocols.
- Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team to ensure quality and continuity of care.
- Participate in team conferences and provide in-service education as needed.
- Adhere to all HiHealthCare policies, health, and safety regulations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Flexibility and organization in planning and scheduling.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships.
- Clear and effective communication skills across all levels.
Qualifications:
- Current Certified Nurse Aide certification in the state of Hawaii.
- Minimum one year of direct patient care experience.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Compensation: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
